George has passionately explored the subject of animal tracking for over 10 years. He has been evaluated in the field by Cybertracker Conservation, and has earned a track and sign specialist certificate in two locations (New England and Southern California). He is recognized as a track and sign evaluator for North America by Cybertracker Conservation.
He has an M.S. through Antioch University in Conservation Biology, and has a B.A. from Marlboro College in Biology and Psychology. His undergraduate work involved designing and implementing a tracking curriculum at the college, as well as studying red fox ecology through a winter snow tracking survey.
He has studied with many well known tracking teachers: Paul Rezendes, Mark Elbroch, Jon Young, Charles Worsham, and Tom Brown Jr. He is also a graduate of the Kamana Naturalist Program.
He teaches Field Mammalogy at Antioch University New England, and conducts field research on wildlife corridors throughout New England.
